Mission: PawSquad Press
- Karen, Northern Virginia
Where creativity meets compassion - and every kid becomes a voice for animals.
Does your child love animals and enjoy being creative? Whether they’re into photography, video, writing, or storytelling, PawSquad Press gives kids and teens (ages 5–17) a fun, flexible way to speak up for animals and make a real difference.
This year-round enrichment program is self-paced and designed for all skill levels and artistic styles. From snapping a photo of their pet to creating a video about a local animal rescue, every project helps build confidence, compassion, and community awareness.

Having a Pet NOT required. Stuffies welcome too!
Nope, not at all! You don’t need a pet to be a hero for animals. 🐾 Your superpower is your voice, your creativity, and your heart. Whether you live with a furry friend or not, you can still help make the world better for all animals. Capes optional, compassion required. 💥
Absolutely! 🐾 Creativity has no age limit. Reporters of all ages are welcome to use any media style they love, whether it's snapping photos, filming videos, or writing stories.
Absolutely! Every monthly topic is packed with creative possibilities for all age groups.
For example, if the theme is Pet Care 101, your child might:
There's no limit to how many stories, videos, or photos they can crate. More kindness, more impact, more fun!
We keep it flexible to fit your family's schedule.
📅 Submissions for each monthly topic are due by the SUNDAY OF THE THIRD WEEK. That gives us time to review entries and showcase your reporter's work the following week.
✨ BONUS: We spotlight new content every week, so your child's creation could inspire other's all month long!
We do our best to spotlight every PawSquad Reporter who participates! 🐾
Some topics may get more entries than others, but if your child submits content, we’ll work hard to make sure their voice is seen and celebrated. Every effort counts, and we love sharing their creativity with the world!
Yes, with your permission! 🐾 We love local stories, but reporters must get parent or guardian approval first. For in-person visits, an adult should go along. Safety first, always.
Absolutely! 🐾 Our Senior Reporter and Other Ideas categories are designed with teens in mind, offering deeper topics that showcase creativity, storytelling, and real-world impact. Perfect for service hours, resumes, and college applications!
Send all entries to [email protected]. 🐾 Once submitted, the content becomes co-owned by The Pawtectors and the reporter. We’ll never sell or share their work with other sites. Their creativity stays protected and celebrated!
This mission is more than fun. It’s a foundation for lifelong kindness.
